A simulation of the "Berlin-Uhr" - discoverable in real life at Ku'damm in front of the Europa-Center in Berlin. The original clock was the "first clock in the world to display time with luminous colored fields". As a tribute to its inventor Dieter Binninger and because it looks pretty damn cool, it is brought back to life on your card10.

how to read the clock:

  • hours: Multiply segments from row 1 by 5 and add the result with segments from row 2
  • minutes: Multiply segments from row 1 by 5 and add the result with segments from row 2

extra functionalities that differ from the classic Berlin-Uhr:

  • displays seconds on the outer border of the display (can be turned on/off by lower left button)
  • press upper right button to display the current date in berlin-uhr-ish style
  • press lower right button to show a overlay of clock/date in arabic numbers (good for beginners to learn how to read this clock)
  • automatically adjust the brightness of the display and the seconds LED
